With Beginning Italian 4 we will continue Buongiorno Italia text book moving from Unit 14 (or 15) to 20. There will be lots of revision and practice on individual production of basic writing and description of personal life style and preferences.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course you should

  • be able to communicate with confidence in a range of practical situations
  • have increased your knowledge of Italian grammar and formal and informal language
  • be able to read an intermediate level text with some ease

Who should enrol

This course is open to anyone who has studied Beginning Italian 1 to 3 or the equivalent, or who has lived in Italy for a while.

Required Text

You are asked to purchase Buongiorno Italia BBC Publications as it will be the basis of the course. It is recommended that you buy the CD that accompanies the text book. The same text is recommended for all beginning and intermediate courses. Grammatical sheets will be given out in class.
