Course outline
Topics covered in each lesson:
- Topic 1: Revision with a bilan or checklist
- Topic 2: Describing people using adjectives; making negative statements
- Topic 3: Going shopping; choosing, buying and paying.
- Topic 4: Renting an apartment: reading an advertisement, discussing features; asking questions; pronouns and prepositions
- Topic 5: Asking for and giving directions; the verb prendre; making direct statements
- Topic 6: Avoiding repetition by replacing a place name with the pronoun y
- Topic 7: On holiday: what to do, where to go; the different meanings of on
Studying French 2 is stimulating and enjoyable as you will cover a large amount of French in a short period of time.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the course, you should:
- be able to express yourself in everyday situations, such as describing people and places, going shopping, and finding your way
- gain an appreciation of the Francophone world through discussing French culture, such as national pride in the French language and la cuisine française

Our courses, from French 1 – French 4, is based on textbools that cover A1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Each session will be roughly 20 hours of learning.
