Course outline 

Topics covered in each lesson: 

  • Topic 1: Revision with a bilan or checklist 
  • Topic 2: Telling the time, talking about the weather 
  • Topic 3: Taking a train – asking for information at the station.  
  • Topic 4: Describing your daily schedule: reflexive verbs – framing affirmative and negative statements or questions 
  • Topic 5: Ingredients for a recipe: the partitive article - using ‘some’ in statements, ‘any’ in questions, affirmative and negative forms
  • Topic 6: Talking about the past with the passé composé 

French 3 is stimulating and enjoyable as you will cover a large amount of French in a short period of time. 

Learning outcomes 

By the end of the course, you should: 

  • be able to express yourself in everyday situations, such as travelling by train, describing your habits and routine, and talking about past events  
  • gain an appreciation of the Francophone world through for example, its fêtes, such as le Quatorze Juillet, the Fête du Travail and the Fête de la Musique or learning about its overseas territories, such as la Nouvelle-Calédonie

The course is designed for beginners who are interested in, and enjoy, learning about the French language and culture.

Our courses, from French 1 – French 4, is based on textbools that cover A1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Each session will be roughly 20 hours of learning.
