Japanese 2 is designed for those who have completed Beginning Japanese 1 or similar (approximately 20 hours of study) and wishing to extend their conversational, written and grammatical understanding of the Japanese language as well as learning about Japanese culture.

o Write an E-mail inviting someone to your home
o Ask/Say where to put things in the room
o Visit/Welcome a friend
o Show someone around your home
o Recognise the name and address on signs
· Daily Life せいかつ
o Say the time you do something
o Talk about your daily routine
o Talk about your schedule for this week
o Talk about when to have a party
o Write a birthday card
By the end of the course, students should:
- have a fundamental understanding of everyday Japanese.
- have a basic understanding of grammatical patterns, Japanese characters, and a range of everyday vocabulary
