Meet the CCE Team

Brian Cooke
Team Leader

Team leader at CCE since March 2020, Brian comes to ANU fresh from five year’s operating his own business in athlete assessment and active travel (international cycling tours). Prior to this, Brian spent 14 years in the vocational education sector, as both a teacher and education manager. Possessing a sharp commercial focus and passion for educational innovation, Brian is well placed to steer CCE through the challenges and opportunities in the years ahead.

As a keen cyclist (road and mountain bike) you may also just see Brian on the roads of the ACT, so be sure to give him a friendly wave if you do.

Matthew New
Senior Education Support Officer, Micro-credentials & Professional Learning

Matthew started at ANU in 2002 and has over 18 years of experience in the adult and higher education sector. In August 2022, Matthew started in his current role as Senior Education Support Officer (Micro-credentials & Professional Learning) where he supports the development, administration, and delivery of micro-credential offerings and professional learning short courses at the ANU.

Matthew is a talented guitarist and is known to play a song or two for colleagues at lunchtime.

Janice Peh
Education Support Officer

The newest addition to the CCE Team and passionate about education, Janice was previously a high school teacher of visual arts in Singapore; a primary school teacher of the International Baccalaureate curriculum in Canberra; and the Gallery and Collections manager of Nishi Gallery where she produced and co-curated exhibitions, educational resources and curatorial essays.

Over the weekends, Janice enjoys crocheting, cooking, playing the flute, bushwalking and updating the Instagram page of her dog, Charlie Cottonball.
